N\u00e5r vannet er kokende, ha risen i og kok opp med sterk varme ca 4 minutter, tiden er avhengig av rissorten. Hell risen i d\u00f8rslag og vask ved \u00e5 skylle den med kalt vann.<br \/>\nHa olje i kasserollen og ha risen i. Legge reke- og rosinblandingen i midten av risen.<br \/>\nLegg p\u00e5 et rent h\u00e5ndkle over kasserollen og sett p\u00e5 lokket.<br \/>\nRisen m\u00e5 dampes i ca 30 minutter. Det er viktig \u00e5 s\u00f8rge for at det kun er ris i bunnen, ikke reke- og rosinblanding.
